Title: Face Value: old heads in modern masks. A visual, archaeological and historical reading of the Lydenburg Heads (1993) Axeage Private Press Cape Town (ed: 50) 139pp.
 
The book comprises fourteen original hand printed monochrome copper plate etchings by the artist and seven original hand-printed copper plate etched renderings of the Mafikeng Heads by and signed by the artist. The etchings were printed from the original copper plates on Zerkall Buetten 145gsm paper by Paulus Pass.
 
All bound copies in quarter leather by Peter Carstens.
 
Essays by Patricia Davison, Martin Hall and the artist.
 
Examples of this edition are to be found in The Smithsonian Libraries (USA) The Brenthurst Library (Johannesburg) The Yale Art of the Book Collection, The Jack Ginsberg Collection and many art museums in both bound and unbound form.
